Just been to see a preview of Harry Brown, Michael Caine’s new film. It’s good! I went (a free preview) without knowing much about it and I LOVED it!
Caine was fab in it, very believable and proves again that he’s a British gem. The other actors were sublime too, from the fucking freaky drug dealer to wanker youth hard case. A few scenes are heart thumpers and the character acting makes the shitting film.
A London based modern fuck off western where granddad gets balls out even. Many familiarities with Gran Tourino but not the same film, more gritty and certainly a tad more nobbing Tarrantinoesq.
It’s not perfect of course. The plot isnt much thicker than the cinema ticket and the message (if any was intended) was twisted.
However, 8.5/10 easy. Gripping scenes with feeling make you want to go out and shoot the fuckety youths that shouted “Fuck off fatty” when you last walkined into town. Well…. you know what I mean.
Watch it.

After ignoring this film for ages finally i gave in and tried to watch Bruno…..
Please heed my words and never try to watch this film, it was sooo bad, the scene with the psychic and the whole Humas scene had me running away from the screen vowing never to return.
I just cant see the funny in it.
