Tim is an Aussie comedy singer/song writer type chappy that I came across the other day.
He’s good.
Very similar to Stephen Lynch but newer on the scene and better in my opinion. His voice is amazing at times and some songs had me giggling like a girl. He has a couple of DVDs and albums too, available from all the usual places.
A big atheist and unafraid of handling hot subjects, some songs are edgy and angry rather than balls out funny but most are worth a look.
What most intersted me though was a “docco” as the Aussies call them about two years of his life when he was trying to “make it”. I loved it, a great insight into the comedy world and his struggles to get there.
He has a couple of more serious, mellow songs out there too and Drowned is a fantastic “dark room – glass full of JD” kinda song.
Wow.
Just read this blog post from Alison Byrne Fields, a woman who was a teenager in the 80’s that struck up a pen pal relationship with John Hughes. It’s a great post, with some intersting insight into the man’s character. So much so that I am very pleased to read that he was indeed the man his fans hoped he was.
While I read this, I sat there in awe of both John and Alison, what an amazing thing they both did. I also realised how much those films meant to me although not quite as life changing as her experience, I did and still do (I re-watched PT&A and SKoW at the weekend!) love his films.
Lastly, and before you read the article Jezz… do so in private! I almost cried reading her blog post and I recon you will blub like a baby.
Now THAT’S a fish tank!

I cant help but think in some things we are going backwards!
I liked the demo very much. The graphics, playstlye and especially the voice acting all added to the atmosphere.
Essentially, its a simple platformer that reminded me very much of prince of persia, the original. Fun play with some puzzle challenges. The mulitple player types is a blast and the up comming co-op mode will be a blast!

Wow! A commissionned peice for a NY Hotel that this chap created from hundreds of film clips.
The resulting video is beautiful and the game is to find all the film refs, you’ll be there all week!
